Things You Need to Know...

Jackson Street Construction begins July 5

Street Updates

The big news is that on Tuesday, July 5, Jackson Street will close from 7th  Place to Kellogg Blvd through the fall. I will keep you posted on updates for exact timing for streets being reopened for the winter months.

The official detour route will be on Robert Street. Access to parking ramps will be maintained. I’ve provided a map below for reference.

Starting this Monday, June 27, the contractor will be working with the Water Department to install temporary water services. This is to ensure all properties maintain a water connection during all phases of construction.

Xcel Energy will continue their work on upgrading the electrical systems. This will be coordinated with the contractor. This utility work will require occasional lane restrictions on Jackson Street from 7th Place to 11th Street. We will communicate closures throughout the process when we learn exactly when they will be happening.

Jackson Street from Kellogg Blvd to Shepard Rd will remain open until mid-July with some restrictions.

In mid-July Jackson St from Kellogg Blvd to Shepard Rd will be fully closed for 6-8 weeks.

We will notify all stakeholders with the exact dates of the closures once we have them in the coming weeks.

Cross Streets along Jackson Street will remain open to traffic with at least one lane of traffic in each direction. There may be some full closures at points during construction, but again, we will work to provide proper signage and notification on these potential closures.

Information Meetings

We will be hosting weekly informational meetings for businesses and resident representatives, on Wednesdays starting June 29, from 1 to 2pm at the Metro Square Conference Center LL Room 1.

Access to Parking Ramps

There will be a hard closure of Jackson Street on the south side of 7th Street. Access to Parking Ramps will be provided off the nearest side street north of the ramp. Access from the other side would be to the nearest side street to the south.
